Energy Return to Sender: A Spiritual Law in Action
Brian Collins Life in Synergy® co-owner and retired healer, speaks of the karma energy boomerang.
You cant blow out the candles on the karma cake by putting your head in the icing.
Energy returning to its source often begins subtly.
Consider the closure of a business not due to market conditions, but because its foundational energy
was rooted in imbalance, deception, or betrayal. This is not simply metaphor or spiritual allegory. It is the tangible, measurable consequence of energetic misalignment. The second stage of this return process manifests more personally. The individual who projected that imbalance begins to experience karmic feedback. It may arise as relationship discord, health complications, or challenges involving their children or family structure. The principle remains consistent: energetic output always returns to the originator—sometimes exponentially.
Spiritual energy is not “woo-woo,” nor is it wishful thinking wrapped in mysticism. It is real. It is functional. And it carries direct consequences—especially when one’s personal energetic distortions are introduced into the larger field of collective peace.
And here lies the deeper truth:
The karmic consequences rarely stem from the externalized target of jealousy, manipulation, or deceit. Instead, they originate from the sender's own internal fractures—often concealed beneath layers of self-justification and ego.
A example: years ago, I mentored for years a very talented former student of mine named Michael Devin, bassist for 80’s Metal Gods Whitesnake and other varied rock and rolling bands. One of our countless conversations on consciousness, energetic ascension, and the dismantling of inherited energetic limitations later inspired him to write a song called Wild Buffalo (view and rock out below). A central lyric from that song—“You are one with everything, there’s no place to run”—summarizes the core teaching I often share with all my students.
It’s profound.
But it’s not easily digested by many.
Why?
Because negative energy is seductive.
It obscures clarity and convinces the subconscious mind that it “already knows.” And in that false certainty, the energy that needs to be dissolved becomes more deeply entrenched. The universe is always offering reflections of the self. Yet most people resist those reflections. Why? Because to truly confront the self—to truly take responsibility—is difficult. That spiritual mirror can be unsettling. And so, rather than face it, many allow karmic patterns to continue unchecked, unconsciously impacting their surroundings and loved ones.
Blame then pops up and the makers of pain energy then in their own spiral, will accuse the very people that they have caused agony to as being the source of any negative issues that they are experiencing, completely blind to the understanding that they themselves have written into the book of karma by being the initiate of their own suffering by their own actions.
Consider this: What if one denies the existence of God even after experiencing the absolute truth in real time over and over again—only to later find themselves living in an apartment overlooking a church? Or imagine making a business deal sealed with a handshake, only to watch the entire company then unravel because that handshake carried the vibration of untruth?
These are not coincidences.
Karma, once activated, will persist—relentlessly reflecting the suffering it once inflicted, returning it to the sender for reckoning until resolution is made.
This is karmic law, not performed by any individual other than the senders own actions, thoughts and deeds returning home.
And still, the truth remains:
“You are one with everything. There’s no place to run.”

The Denial of Actions and the Weight of a Lifetime: A Path to Freedom
Discover how a life spent in denial and deceit can lead to fear and anxiety about death. Learn how to break free from karmic patterns and embrace inner peace with the Apex Life in Synergy program created by Boston's multi award winning wellness educator, Helena Collins.
Denial is an insidious force. It lurks in the shadows of our actions, sometimes whispering, other times roaring, but always distorting the truth of what we have done.
Throughout a lifetime, it becomes a habit—a wall we build brick by brick to protect ourselves from the discomfort of facing our mistakes. It may start with a small lie or an evasion of responsibility. But over time, those moments accumulate, leading to a life steeped in self-deception, where the person we project to the world is far from the person we are inside.
Many people spend their lives running from the consequences of their actions, using denial to preserve a false sense of security. But there’s a cost to this. With each ignored truth, with each choice to avoid responsibility, a deeper fear begins to grow—the fear of being found out, of facing the truth, and, ultimately, the fear of death. As we age, the weight of these unacknowledged actions presses down on our spirit. The lies we tell ourselves to avoid uncomfortable truths seem to offer comfort at first, but they harden into something much heavier as the years pass. People who have lived in denial often find themselves gripped with anxiety as they grow older, especially as they contemplate their mortality.
Questions begin to arise:
What happens when I die?
What energy am I leaving behind?
Will I have to face all the lies and deceit I've woven over the years?
How the Apex Life in Synergy Program Can Help You Clean Your Karma
This fear is magnified for those who have spent their life denying their true selves.
The thought of death becomes terrifying because, deep down, they suspect that they may not have escaped the consequences of their actions after all. And worse yet, they fear they’ve lived a life unfulfilled, weighed down by a heavy karmic debt that cannot be outrun forever. In spiritual traditions around the world, the belief in karmic balance—that all actions, both good and bad, come full circle—offers a powerful lesson. Denial doesn’t erase consequences; it delays them. Whether one believes in karma or simply the psychological impact of living inauthentically, the truth is that a life spent in lies leads to a reckoning.
But here's the good news: it’s never too late to change. A lifetime of denial doesn’t have to end in fear and regret. The power to face the truth and free oneself from the shackles of deceit lies in conscious action and self-reflection. It requires courage, yes, but the rewards are immeasurable. This is where Helena Collins’ Apex Life in Synergy program offers a pathway to healing. The program is a powerful, transformative tool designed to help you uncover the patterns and actions you’ve buried, to face your truth with compassion, and to begin the process of clearing away the karmic debris that’s been accumulating.
