Energy Return to Sender: A Spiritual Law in Action

Brian Collins Life in Synergy® co-owner and retired healer, speaks of the karma energy boomerang.

You cant blow out the candles on the karma cake by putting your head in the icing.

Energy returning to its source often begins subtly.

Consider the closure of a business not due to market conditions, but because its foundational energy

was rooted in imbalance, deception, or betrayal. This is not simply metaphor or spiritual allegory. It is the tangible, measurable consequence of energetic misalignment. The second stage of this return process manifests more personally. The individual who projected that imbalance begins to experience karmic feedback. It may arise as relationship discord, health complications, or challenges involving their children or family structure. The principle remains consistent: energetic output always returns to the originator—sometimes exponentially.

Spiritual energy is not “woo-woo,” nor is it wishful thinking wrapped in mysticism. It is real. It is functional. And it carries direct consequences—especially when one’s personal energetic distortions are introduced into the larger field of collective peace.

And here lies the deeper truth:

The karmic consequences rarely stem from the externalized target of jealousy, manipulation, or deceit. Instead, they originate from the sender's own internal fractures—often concealed beneath layers of self-justification and ego.

A example: years ago, I mentored for years a very talented former student of mine named Michael Devin, bassist for 80’s Metal Gods Whitesnake and other varied rock and rolling bands. One of our countless conversations on consciousness, energetic ascension, and the dismantling of inherited energetic limitations later inspired him to write a song called Wild Buffalo (view and rock out below). A central lyric from that song—“You are one with everything, there’s no place to run”—summarizes the core teaching I often share with all my students.

It’s profound.

But it’s not easily digested by many.

Why?

Because negative energy is seductive.

It obscures clarity and convinces the subconscious mind that it “already knows.” And in that false certainty, the energy that needs to be dissolved becomes more deeply entrenched. The universe is always offering reflections of the self. Yet most people resist those reflections. Why? Because to truly confront the self—to truly take responsibility—is difficult. That spiritual mirror can be unsettling. And so, rather than face it, many allow karmic patterns to continue unchecked, unconsciously impacting their surroundings and loved ones.

Blame then pops up and the makers of pain energy then in their own spiral, will accuse the very people that they have caused agony to as being the source of any negative issues that they are experiencing, completely blind to the understanding that they themselves have written into the book of karma by being the initiate of their own suffering by their own actions.

Consider this: What if one denies the existence of God even after experiencing the absolute truth in real time over and over again—only to later find themselves living in an apartment overlooking a church? Or imagine making a business deal sealed with a handshake, only to watch the entire company then unravel because that handshake carried the vibration of untruth?

These are not coincidences.

Karma, once activated, will persist—relentlessly reflecting the suffering it once inflicted, returning it to the sender for reckoning until resolution is made.

This is karmic law, not performed by any individual other than the senders own actions, thoughts and deeds returning home.

And still, the truth remains:

“You are one with everything. There’s no place to run.”

The In your face Boston Healer who flipped the script: A Chicken and a Hug in Taipei

What does a chicken and a hug have to do with healing? Discover how an in your face Boston Irish healer defied expectations and sparked transformation through simplicity in Taipei.

Master Brian Collins performing a Chi Gong demo in 1996 so when you say “That’s Bullshit”.. here is some proof for ya, that’s me right there above as a very young man showing my Chi Gong chops in Guangzhou China…..

There are moments in life when ego tries to stand in the way of true service—and it always reveals the true nature of a person.

In 1996, I was invited to Taipei and Mainland China as part of a cultural exchange highlighting Qi Gong and energy medicine. I didn’t go as a star or a master—I went as a humble practitioner open to whatever experience the universe had in store for me. At the time, I was a MUCH younger man, deep in intensive training in Chi Gong, Hawaiian Spirituality and Filipino Martial Arts and was just starting to fully understand how spiritual energy could move through the body in real-time to alter time and space.

At a Taipei health fair, locals from the mountain regions came into the big city hoping for help for chronic issues. Many of them had never received proper care, relying mostly on the strength of their own will. I started casually working with people at the fair—not as part of a performance or any main stage—just a few quick energy sessions to ease pain and bring alignment where I could.

👉 Then it happened.

Someone experienced instant relief after seeing me.

Then another and another….

A small line then formed to have me aid them.

…TIt quickly became a crowd.

Suddenly, people were stepping out of the “official” healing line and forming a separate one… for me—the gasp! Lo fan? (foreigner). The “Master” we were traveling with was not amused at this at all. His pride had been punctured by something he couldn’t control: pure, intention-based energy transfer. He had the titles. He had the spotlight, but….

But I had something different: presence, purpose, and permission.

And the people around me felt the chi as well.

One elderly man who had come down from the mountains shuffled toward me.

He’d carried a severe farming neck injury for years—something that had made it hard to sleep, eat, and live. After a brief five-minute session, the life long pain was gone completely. His eyes widened. He looked around, unsure if it was a trick.

But it wasn’t.

He returned about an hour later, teary-eyed, and offered me the most meaningful gift he could find: a live chicken from his village that he brought to sell.

That was his currency of gratitude.

I smiled, bowed, and told him it was 100% free and just asked him for a hug for payment. He looked up at the large white man who had just helped him, tears now streaking his face, and embraced me with the full energy of his ancestors behind him and offered a genuine hug. And I knew in that moment—I wasn’t there to impress or to perform.

I was there to shake things up, me, the unexpected Lo Fan Chi Gong Master

A white guy with this ability? Who wasn’t greedy or an obnoxious jerk?

I was there to unlock my true self.

This moment—chicken and all—remains one of the most honest expressions of what true healing is and the pure gratitude someone showed me for simply being me. Sure after this trip, I went on in my multi-decade career to do things like curing the blind and aiding countless infertile women in having children, life long migraine cures in 1 touch, etc, etc, etc, blah blah blah so many “miracles”…. but I also saw that some clients expected me to cure them, in fact some demanded and treated me as their personal energy slave.

But I have learned MUCH since my time at my former brick and mortar Newbury Street office in Boston and well, those who demanded and expected a slave? well are still who they are, lost deep inside and well, they will eventually meet whatever they believe in and discuss it with that/them/whatever.

It is not about the taking the spotlight on the stage.

It’s not about the sacred robe or special hat.

It’s not about the title,

Its not the wireless face mic to tower over and scream at people your philosophy

Its not about inner demand, manipulation to acquire or fear energy guiding you

It’s about understanding your gravitational connection.

At Life in Synergy, this is how we still operate (roll).

From Boston to Taipei, from the wonderful energy of the Kalalau Valley in Kaua’i, the truth of healing hasn’t changed: you don’t need the spotlight—you need sincerity. Our decades-long success, including Helena Collins Apex Life in Synergy® Program, Helena Collins Synergistics Fitness Method® and the EFV Keys program, are built on this kind of real-world energy work—where truth, transformation, and yes, even live chickens, show up when you’re aligned with your mission.

If you feel the call to experience this level of transformation in your life, it’s time to pick up and answer,

as your world can’t be put on hold any longer.

Entitlement and Ego: The Self-Destructive Duo

Explore the impact of entitlement and ego on personal growth. Learn how to recognize and overcome full of self syndrome for a more fulfilling life.

Entitlement and Ego Energy 101

In our journey of self-discovery and spiritual growth, we often encounter various challenges that test our resilience and character. One of the most dangerous obstacles we face is when peace and honesty meet entitlement and ego. These two forces (entitlement and ego), when left unchecked, can lead to a life dominated by the full of self syndrome—a condition where one's perception of self-worth becomes distorted, leading to harmful energies that can echo out and infect to the entire world.

What is Entitlement?

Entitlement is the belief that one deserves certain privileges or special treatment without necessarily earning them. It's a mindset that prioritizes personal desires over the needs and rights of others. This attitude can be particularly destructive in relationships ( personal and business), leading to a lack of empathy and respect for others.

The Role of Ego and the creation of reality

Ego is the part of our psyche that deals with our self-identity and self-esteem. While a healthy ego helps us navigate the world with confidence, an inflated ego can create a false sense of superiority. When combined with entitlement, it can become a toxic mix that blinds individuals to their faults and makes them justify their harmful actions.

A Personal Encounter with Full of Self Syndrome

Some time ago, I had a client/business partner who embodied the very essence of entitlement and ego. This person, whom I trusted and valued, ended up using and lying to me in ways that left deep emotional scars. They took advantage of my kindness and generosity, exploiting my goodwill for their benefit. When the consequences of their (lack of) actions caught up with them and the world in 2019, they then disappeared from my life without a trace, leaving me to pick up the pieces. Years later, out of nowhere, this person reappeared, asking for my help again as if nothing had happened. They seemed oblivious to the global pain they had caused, their sense of entitlement and ego still fully intact. This encounter was a stark reminder of the dangers of full of self syndrome.

The Impact of Full of Self Syndrome

Full of self syndrome manifests in various ways, all detrimental to personal growth and healthy relationships. Individuals afflicted by this syndrome often:

  1. Lack Accountability: They refuse to acknowledge their mistakes and blame others for their problems.

  2. Show Disregard for Others: They prioritize their needs and desires over the well-being of others.

  3. Exhibit Manipulative Behavior: They use others as tools to achieve their personal goals (desires), often through deceit and exploitation.

  4. Experience Superficial Relationships: Their relationships are built on self-interest rather than genuine 1 on 1 connection and mutual respect and care for all.

Healing and Moving Forward. 👍

Encountering someone with full of self syndrome can be a deeply painful experience, but it also offers valuable lessons in self-awareness and boundary-setting. Here are 5 steps to heal and protect yourself:

  1. Acknowledge the Pain: Allow yourself to feel and process the hurt caused by the other person's actions.

  2. Set Boundaries: Clearly define and communicate your limits to protect yourself from further harm.

  3. Practice Forgiveness: Forgiveness is not about excusing the behavior but releasing the glue like thought hold it has on your emotional well-being. If you gave it your all and were screwed over for it by someone, forgive yourself. The negative Karma that comes out of a situation like that it is NOT yours…Simply address a letter in your mind, place the energy of your frustration ( whatever the situation was) into the letter, seal it, put a mental stamp on it and place it into a cosmic return to sender mailbox and mail that sucker!

  4. Focus on Self-Growth: Use the experience as a catalyst for your personal and spiritual growth.

  5. Surround Yourself with Positivity: Seek out relationships and environments that foster mutual respect and understanding.

Wrapping it up already

Entitlement and ego, when left unchecked, can lead to a life FOREVER dominated by self-destructive behaviors and damaged relationships. Recognizing and addressing full of self syndrome within ourselves and others is crucial for fostering a life of empathy, respect, and genuine connection. By setting healthy boundaries and focusing on personal growth, we can navigate these challenges and continue our journey towards a more enlightened and fulfilling existence.

Finding Balance: The Spiritual Perspective on Money and Comparison

Explore how to shift your focus from financial comparison to personal and spiritual development with our insightful guide. Learn strategies from Boston’s multi award winning Mentor Helena Collins to cultivate a healthy relationship with money and embrace your unique path.

In a world that constantly bombards us with images of success and opulence, it's easy to fall into the trap of comparing our financial journey to that of others.

At Life in Synergy, we understand that money itself isn’t the root of imbalance—rather, it's our perception of and reaction to money that can lead to spiritual and emotional turmoil. Today’s blog explores how shifting our focus from comparison to personal growth can lead to a more balanced relationship with money.

When we compare our financial status to that of others, we aren't just evaluating numbers; we're often weighing our self-worth against visible markers of success. This comparison can distort our perception of what it means to be successful, embedding feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt. This mindset does not just hinder our happiness—it can actively disrupt our financial stability. By focusing on someone else's endgame, we lose sight of the crucial steps needed to forge our own path toward financial well-being.

Engaging in this constant comparison often dredges up unresolved energies of inadequacy and self-hatred. When we measure our lives against others', we focus on what we perceive to be lacking rather than appreciating what we have and recognizing opportunities for growth. This skewed focus can prevent us from taking the actions necessary to improve our financial situations, as we're caught up in a cycle of negativity and self-defeat under the comparison microscope.

The key to overcoming this challenge is to shift the focus back to ourselves—not in isolation, but in terms of our personal growth and spiritual development. Here’s how we can start this transformation:

  1. Recognize Your Unique Path: Understand that your financial journey is unique and cannot be directly compared to anyone else’s. Embrace that everyone has different goals, challenges, and starting points.

  2. Set Personal Goals: Instead of looking outward, look inward. What do you want to achieve financially? Setting personal goals gives you a roadmap to follow, focusing your energy on productive activities that lead to real, tangible outcomes.

  3. Develop Financial Literacy: Knowledge is power. Educate yourself about financial management, investment strategies, and economic principles. The more you know, the more empowered you will be to make wise decisions that reflect your personal values and goals.

  4. Seek Spiritual Alignment with Apex Life in Synergy program: Money should not be a source of stress but just a tool for achieving your life's purposes. Seek ways to align your financial actions with your spiritual values and never allow the latest shiny object to govern your energies.

At Life in Synergy®, we encourage you to view money as a form of energy that flows into and out of our lives. By managing this energy wisely and aligning it with our inner values, we not only enhance our financial well-being but also our spiritual health. Remember, when you stop comparing and start focusing on your personal and spiritual growth, money becomes a tool to enhance your journey, not the journey itself. Let's strive to transform our relationship with money from one of stress and comparison to one of harmony and purpose. Remember, you are the architect of your own financial destiny and the creator of your spiritual path.

Focus on the inner part of you that manifests YOU….never compare yourself to anyone else, you are unique and powerful and can do wonders once you get out your own way.

Unpack the Subconscious Basement: How Inner Peace Can Help Tackle Global Poverty with Helena Collins

Explore how addressing internal energetic discord through Helena Collins Apex Life in Synergy's holistic approach may impact global poverty. Join us as we dive into the subconscious, connect deeper with ourselves, and our understandings of our role in the world.

Hello, fellow spiritual adventurers and seekers of deeper understandings!

Today, let’s dive into a seemingly heavy but vitally important topic with a twist of humor: why understanding the root of our internal discord and worry is crucial not just for our own peace, but for addressing challenges like global poverty. In the world of personal growth and related global impact, it’s the first step toward achieving newfound insights and harmony. Just like a good spring cleaning, except instead of finding old magazines under your bed, you might discover long-held beliefs that are well overdue for a refresh and if need be, a trashing ( NOT a recycling). Before we can understand the enormity of external issues like global poverty—a concern so pressing it's highlighted on the United Nations website—we need to tidy up the internal landscape of the mind. Think of it as decluttering your mental garage. Out with the old, in with the new understanding! This process involves a deep dive into the self, much like an archeological dig, except you're brushing off skeletons of past emotions rather than dinosaur bones.

The Ripple Effect: From Internal Blocks to External Realities

Here’s where things get interesting. Apex Life in Synergy, led by the multi award winning visionary Helena Collins, the philosophy is that our internal energetic state can create ripples that extend far beyond our personal bubble. According to this philosophy, blocks and unresolved issues within ourselves might manifest externally, contributing to larger systemic issues like global poverty. It’s like when you’re so frazzled that you misplace your car keys, causing you to be late, which makes your whole day go off-kilter with missed meetings and scheduling back ups. Now, imagine that on a global scale!

Helena Collins' Apex Life in Synergy: A Deep Dive into the Subconscious

Helena’s program is akin to a deep-sea exploration of the vast ocean of our subconscious. It’s about more than just skimming the surface; it involves suiting up and diving into the murky waters of our subconscious basements to deal with all the "stuff" we’ve stored there—be it fears, outdated beliefs, or forgotten emotional debts. Participants in this program learn to recognize how their own inner turmoil might be invisibly connected to the world's larger issues. By healing oneself step by step, the idea is that you are also healing the world step by step. It’s about realizing that everything is interconnected. Your inner peace contributes to world peace, your resolved inner conflicts help to reduce the world's collective conflict energy, and your illuminated inner self begins to see that it can help light up the world.

The Interconnectedness of All

The crux of the Apex Life in Synergy program is awakening to the interconnectedness of all things. Imagine a spider web, dew-kissed in the morning light, each strand connected to the others, vibrating at the slightest touch. That's us. That's our world. Your inner vibrations can send waves across the entire web. So, dear seeker, as we embark on this journey of inner exploration and outer change, remember: every bit of clutter cleared from your subconscious basement not only sets you free but might just help lift the world a little higher out of despair by breaking the collective thought cycles that prevent humanity from ascending to higher states of being where topics like global poverty can be addressed and ended.

Here is to cleaning house, in every sense of the word! Together, let’s make a pact to explore, understand, and heal the depths of our inner selves—not just for our peace but as a crucial piece of the puzzle in solving global issues like poverty. Ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work?

The world—and our inner selves—await.
