Andree

Andree is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200 hours) with the Yoga Alliance. As an instructor with 25 years of experience, Andree combines all that she has learned from the practice of Vipassana meditation and the practice of yoga asanas to create invigorating, dynamic and creative workout sessions.

Synergistics Personal Training Studio Team Trainer and Life in Synergy instructor, Andrew was the 1st person to be certified in the Synergistics Fitness Method® well over 8 years ago.

"I began working as a personal trainer when he was 24, but after two years, he decided he needed a change,Luckily for me Synergistics Personal Training Studio was hiring so I started my employment here when I was 26. When I first met Helena, she put me in front of the mirror and did an evaluation on me. I was in awe of her knowledge of the human body, she instantly pointed out the areas where I was out of alignment and she began to describe her fitness method. With a few years of experience at the time, I really thought I knew everything, and I was stunned to learn how little I actually knew. Brian Collins

Life in Synergy's resident Martial Arts Master and Healer, Guro Brian Collins is the co owner of Life in Synergy™ fitness studio and Synergistics Personal Training Studio™. A Philippine martial artist with 30 years experience, Brian’s travels have brought him across the globe studying esoteric martial, energetic and spiritual arts for more than 3/4 of his life. Brian holds a true passion for the Martial Arts, as he loves to see students find themselves, as they learn this incredible system of self defense.

A contributing writer for The Filipino Martial Arts Digest and an advocate for need for true self defense instruction for women, Brian has instructed numerous Government officials, Police officers and the public in Martial Arts over the years and holds a Guro status in the Philippine Martial Art of Arnis. The protege of Punong Guro Ken DeJesus, Guro Brian Collins proudly offers his knowledge of energetics, martial arts and spiritual awareness to all. " It is my honor to be able to share my lifework with those interested, I am proud to instruct the art of Arnis in Boston. " Guro Brian Collins.

Brian teaches Arnis Philippine Martial Arts on Tuesday night as well as having a highly successful business consulting and healing practice in Hawaiian Metaphysics and Chinese Hua Tou Tuina Massage for 13 years at Synergistics Personal Training Studio.

Brooke

Brooke is a competitively trained contemporary dancer and certified Zumba teacher, she has performed at Disney World, Las Vegas and in New York City. Recently after receiving a Bachelors Degree in Health Science from Northeastern University, Brooke began teaching the "Latin fitness craze," better known as Zumba. Come to Zumba at Life in Synergy and be prepared to dance, sweat, and party!!

Cameron

Yoga has taught Cameron how to live an inspired life. Cameron started practicing yoga and meditation from the age of thirteen. She received a 200-hr yoga certification from the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Cameron is also the founder of Greekstyle yoga, an organization that helps sororities and fraternities in Boston organize yoga events to raise awareness and money for charity. Cameron's creative yoga classes have evolved from experimentation in hatha-based yoga styles and improvisational dance. She creates a total experience that transforms, challenges, and uplifts her students.

Dinah

Dinah has been bellydancing for the past 21 years since age 2 and is trained in bellydance, tap, jazz, ballet, theatre dance, hip hop, ballroom, gymnastics and many other additional styles. She was a member of the Northeastern University Dance Team, a member of Johara's Snake Belly Dance Company, president of the Northeastern University Dance Company, and a member of the No Limits Dance Crew. She has been devoted to all things Life in Synergy since May 2009 and is excited to be teaching Bellydance Fusion, an upbeat, sexy, invigorating class to get you to shimmy and shake your way to a healthy body.

Fitness Entrepreneur, Founder and Owner of the Synergistics Personal Training Studio, Life in Synergy™ Fitness Studio and the creator of the multi-award winning Synergistics Fitness Method®. Known as "America's Personal Trainer", Helena continues to inspire and educate instructors and students with her amazing knowledge of the human form. Her enthusiastic passion for her exercise science and excitement for sharing it with others is her true mission. "The most exciting time in each day for me is when I get the opportunity to teach someone about their body. There is nothing like seeing the ah-hah moment in the eyes of someone when they truly understand something new about themselves, how their body works and how they can make a lasting change." A New England Native, Jennifer certified at the internationally renowned Pilates Center of Boulder, Colorado, a.k.a. the "Harvard of Pilates!" With over 12 years experience, Jennifer exemplifies the integrity of the classical Pilates method.

JoEllen

JoEllen encourages her students to start where they are and have fun finding their own practice. JoEllen completed both her 200-hour Vinyasa and Prenatal Yoga teacher trainings while living in NYC. In the summer of 2009 she had the honor of training in the Synergistics Fitness Method® under its founder, Helena Collins.

Julie

Julie graduated from Union College in New York. Along with her studies, she immersed herself in Ballet and Jazz classes, and her passion for performing was illustrated in her choreography and performances in the college’s Winter Dance Shows, the Steinmetz Symposium Performances, and the Student Choreographed Dance Show. Julie enjoys teaching Ballet Booty, which uses the basic elements of Ballet as well as Pilates to tone and lengthen your muscles into those of a dancer’s body.

Katie

Katie is a trained dancer with a Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Arts in Dance & Theatre from Central Connecticut State University, as well as a Dance Pedagogy Certificate from the Hartford Conservatory. Katherine is a certified Zumba Instructor and is loving every minute of it. Zumba classes are all about having fun while you get into the groove. No prior experience needed, just come prepared to shake it!

Lauren

Lauren has just completed her training in Helena Collins Synergistics Fitness Method® and is our newest member to the Synergistics Personal Training Studio team. Her love for physical fitness motivated her to obtain certification for instructing group fitness and Zumba and her energy and passion shows through with each Life in Synergy™ class or Synergistics Personal Training Studio training session she instructs.

Lenny

Lenny entered onto the Pilates scene five years ago and was immediately hooked. His passion for a workout that energizes, strengthens and lengthens inspired him to become a Pilates Instructor. Currently, Lenny is training in the Balanced Body Method. This evolving method encourages permission, imagination, and variety to create an effective workout. Through continual self practice, observation and education, Lenny works hard to bring clients a challenging and empowering workout that will make you sweat (and laugh amidst his humor and goofiness).

Liz

Liz is a team Life in Synergy™ Personal Trainer and certified in Helena Collins Synergistics Fitness Method®. Her attention to detail shows with each session or class she instructs at Life in Synergy™. Nina

Nina is passionate about yoga as a vehicle for experiencing life with courage and equanimity.

Having practiced for over ten years, Nina is trained in multiple styles including Iyengar, Baptiste, Ashtanga, Yin, and most recently, Dharma Mittra Yoga. Presently, Nina’s unique style is a synthesis of her extensive dance training and draws deep influence from the Jivamukti School, incorporating creative flowing Vinyasa sequences, uplifting music, healing breathing techniques, and ancient spiritual themes relevant to modern life. Nina welcomes students of all levels and delights in communicating that yoga is less about what you do and more about how you do it.

Rachel

Rachel moved to Boston from South Florida 7 years ago to attend Boston University and fell in love with the city of Boston and all it had to offer in its spirit, beauty, and culture. After being convinced by a friend to try Helena’s SFM® Abs and Arms class for the first time a year ago-she was hooked, not only on Life in Synergy, but also on steadily working out for the first time in her life. Since last year you have probably seen her sitting front row in nearly every SFM® class and loving life.

Tanya

As an aspiring dancer, Tanya has had extensive dance training for over 23 years in hip-hop, jazz, tap and ballet. While studying at Suffolk University for her Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Tanya was a member of Phunk Phenomenon Urban Dance Theater for 5 years doing numerous performances all over the New England area to include Kiss 108FM Summer Concert, Boston Celtics Games halftime and timeout performances, Jordan’s Furniture Camp Miracles and many charities.

Upon graduation, Tanya began working full time at a financial advising firm on the North Shore and continued her passion for performing. She spent the ’05, ’06, and ’07 seasons cheering for the New England's favorite Professional Football Team. During her years with the team she was selected to travel overseas with the Air Force Reserves to entertain troops from all branches of the military. Tanya and five other women from her squad visited Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, Germany, and two locations in South West Asia. In addition, she was selected as one of 8 women to travel to China in 2007 to promote American Football.

Tiffany

Tiffany spent her early years as a professional dancer, so it was no surprise that after her first yoga class she developed an immediate love for yoga. After taking some time off to heal a few lingering injuries, she was ready to reconnect her mind, body and spirit through movement. She was and still is, drawn to the physical and emotional healing that comes with practicing yoga. Tiffany embraces the teetering between uncertainty and familiarity within the asana practice and encourages her students to do the same. Her class is a flowing/vinyasa style that is invigorating and playful, yet relaxing. Her class blends outer strength with inner calm and fosters an environment of no judgment of oneself or others. She received her 200-hour RYT Yoga Alliance training with David Vendetti and to compliment her yoga practice she is a certified ACE Group Exercise Instructor who has been teaching since 2003.
